Top 5 Books About Faeries I Want to Read

After #blogoween I found that I loved so many of the prompts and had so much fun reading other people’s responses. After reading everyone’s Top 5 Witchy Books posts, and adding many witchy books to my TBR, I thought I would share books about other magical creatures that I want to read. This is going to be a series of books I want to read about magical creatures, starting out with faeries.

I have read a lot of Holly Black’s books and love faeries. I am currently reading The Wicked King, so I decided to start with faeries.

Please comment below if there is a book that you think should be on this list!

The Iron King by Julie KagawaThe Iron King by Julie Kagawa

I love Julie Kagawa’s writing. The Immortal Rules is probably one of my favorite books about vampires. Ever since reading it The Iron King has been on my TBR. It looks like an amazing series.

I have ALWAYS followed Melissa Marr’s book recommendations, as she blurbs a lot of my favorite titles. If she recommends something I almost always grab it, but I actually have never read anything that she has written, which is sad because she has written a TON of novels.

This book wound up on my TBR the second I saw the cover. I just think it is SO beautiful. I wanted a copy before I knew what it was about, and after I did I wanted one even more. This is a debut novel, which is amazing because I hope I discover a great new author!

This is a book that a lot of my friends have read, but I haven’t touched yet. I’ve heard tons of good things, but for some reason it has never made it to the top of my TBR. I really would like to hear from my followers on this one, is it worth it?

This is a book that I only discovered because I was looking up books for this post. I love the cover, but it’s the blurb that got me interested. So I thought that I’d share it with you guys.

Callypso Lillis is a siren with a very big problem, one that stretches up her arm and far into her past. For the last seven years she’s been collecting a bracelet of black beads up her wrist, magical IOUs for favors she’s received. Only death or repayment will fulfill the obligations. Only then will the beads disappear.

Everyone knows that if you need a favor, you go to the Bargainer to make it happen. He’s a man who can get you anything you want… at a price. And everyone knows that sooner or later he always collects.

But for one of his clients, he’s never asked for repayment. Not until now. When Callie finds the fae king of the night in her room, a grin on his lips and a twinkle in his eye, she knows things are about to change. At first it’s just a chaste kiss—a single bead’s worth—and a promise for more.

For the Bargainer, it’s more than just a matter of rekindling an old romance. Something is happening in the Otherworld. Fae warriors are going missing one by one. Only the women are returned, each in a glass casket, a child clutched to their breast. And then there are the whispers among the slaves, whispers of an evil that’s been awoken.

If the Bargainer has any hope to save his people, he’ll need the help of the siren he spurned long ago. Only, his foe has a taste for exotic creatures, and Callie just happens to be one.

      1. I was denied too! Someone found me a copy for my birthday! Trust me I do not have enough followers to have gotten one. It looks like they hardly gave any out.

You should definitely check out Tithe. Lord Roiben and Kaye are the main characters, they appeared in The Cruel Prince briefly, it’s set in the same world.

      2. I have more followers than a friend of mine who got approved. I think it’s a random thing. It’s killing me having to wait 😂

I think I remember them! I’ll definitely check it out! Thank you!!

  1. This is a great list, I hadn’t heard of a few of these books and immediately put them on my TBR! I did read The Iron King a few years ago and loved it, so I do recommend it. As for Holly Black I’ve heard so much about her books but never picked up any of them. Double checked my bookshelf and I own a copy of Tithe I picked up last year and will be moving that up to be read soon.

  2. Wings by Aprilynne Pike is the first in one of my favorite series! Granted I read it when I was 15 so a lot of my love for it might just be nostalgia 10 years later. I do think you’d enjoy it! There’s Wings, Spells, Illusions, and Destined. THEN theres also a book called Arabesque that takes place years into the future. Each book is fairly short so if you end up liking Wings I think you’ll like the whole series! As for books you should add.. I think a few people already mentioned Holly Black. I just finished her book The Darkest Part of the Forest and I really enjoyed it!
