Today’s Bookending Winter prompt is brought to you by Imogen @ Imogen’s Typewriter. The prompt is 2019 Releases. If you don’t know what Bookending Winter is then check out this post here full of information and prompts. Even if you’re not participating in Bookending Winter I think we can all agree that looking ahead for new releases is always fun for stacking your TBR.
2019 Releases I Can’t Wait to Get My Hands On!
These are all releases that I’m super excited about and can’t wait to get. These all look amazing and many of them have received fabulous reviews from some of my friends.
2019 Releases That I Scored Review Copies and Need to Read
I am most looking forward to Enchantee and Dark of the West, but I have stacked up a lot of amazing 2019 releases that I can’t wait to read!
2019 Releases That I Have Already Read
If you are wondering why The Wicked King wasn’t on my list, it’s because I already read it. I also read Little Darlings and The Similars. So far, I believe these are the only titles that I’ve read that come out in 2019, but I’m probably forgetting some. If you want to check out the reviews click on the titles below.
The Similars
I was so confused when I opened this in my ipod browser. It makes a lot more sense in the desktop version lol.

The headings were on the side I think and it just looked weird. Let me open it again and get more details for you.

LOL Okay good. When I pulled it up I actually had doubles of all the images, I had to fix that. But if there was another issue I wanted to know about it!

So you didn’t want the doubles? I thought it was done on purpose? lol.

I literally just saw for the first time the girl falling through the sky. I’ve been thinking it’s a cloud until now. O.o

Which cover are you talking about? Because I definitely didn’t see a girl falling through the sky.

Wow I didn’t see that at first either!

I think we only noticed it because you have an extra large cover. Otherwise it’s pretty hard to see. Of course it helps that I have read the book too but that part is also in the blurb. 🙂

Ahhh I try to read as little of the blurb as possible

I forgot. lol.

That way when I read the book the plot kind of unfolds naturally without me knowing what is going to happen

I finished The Gilded Wolves last night. You need to read this book ASAP!!! I’m reading The Girls at 17 Swann Rd, The Escape Room, and Little Darlings too. Can’t wait to read your reviews on them!!

I read Little Darlings, but the rest of them I still need to read. The Girls at 17 Swann Street looks AMAZING, and so does The Escape Room. I had been in an escape room once, so I think it will give me a neat perspective on it.

I loved it! Ace of Shades had that criminal fantasy vibe that I love. If you know any other books like that I would love recommendations!

It’s so good! I honestly was so bummed when I finished it. I wanted it to keep going. I am sad we have to wait until April again.

I want to try The Similars. I am currently reading 2 2019 releases (see here: https://wordsandpeace.com/2018/12/10/mailbox-monday-december-10/). I have received 6 others. The Sentence is Death, mentioned in that same post, is definitely one I am very eager to read. And as every year, I’ll be waiting for the next book in the Armand Gamache series

I enjoyed The Similars. I wish I kept myself down to 6 2019 releases, I have far too many. They’re weighing me down!
