Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endingsbased on the meme Waiting on Wednesday by Breaking the Spine. In this weekly post people share a book that they’re excited about being released.

I have always loved reading these posts, looking forward at books that people can’t wait for. But I always find that I want a list and it is just one book. So I decided I would share three books that I can’t wait for. If you click on the title of the book it will take you to the book’s Goodreads page.

A Queen in Hiding by Sarah Kozloff.jpgA Queen in Hiding by Sarah Kozloff

Publication Date: January 21, 2020

Debut author Sarah Kozloff offers a breathtaking and cinematic epic fantasy of a ruler coming of age in A Queen in Hiding, and all four books will be published within a month of each other, so you can binge your favorite new fantasy series.
Orphaned, exiled and hunted, Cérulia, Princess of Weirandale, must master the magic that is her birthright, become a ruthless guerilla fighter, and transform into the queen she is destined to be.
But to do it she must win the favor of the spirits who play in mortal affairs, assemble an unlikely group of rebels, and wrest the throne from a corrupt aristocracy whose rot has spread throughout her kingdom.

This book sounds amazing. With rebels and royalty, magic and spirits it’s calling my name. I’m also really intrigued that all four books in the series will be published within a month of each other so I can binge read the entire series. While this book doesn’t come out until January 2020 it looks like it might fly under the radar and I don’t want to miss it! I have an eARC from Edelweiss and am excited to get into a new epic fantasy series.

The Shadows Between Us.jpgThe Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller

Publication Date: February 25, 2020

Alessandra is tired of being overlooked, but she has a plan to gain power:
1) Woo the Shadow King.
2) Marry him.
3) Kill him and take his kingdom for herself.
No one knows the extent of the freshly crowned Shadow King’s power. Some say he can command the shadows that swirl around him to do his bidding. Others say they speak to him, whispering the thoughts of his enemies. Regardless, Alessandra knows what she deserves, and she’s going to do everything within her power to get it.
But Alessandra’s not the only one trying to kill the king. As attempts on his life are made, she finds herself trying to keep him alive long enough for him to make her his queen—all while struggling not to lose her heart. After all, who better for a Shadow King than a cunning, villainous queen?

This sounds like a really interesting enemies to lovers fantasy filled with royalty, treason and deception. This is totally up my alley and I am excited that I already have an eARC.

Wicked as you wish.jpgWicked as You Wish by Rin Chupeco

Publication Date: March 3rd, 2020

Tala Warnock has little use for magic – as a descendant of Maria Makiling, the legendary Filipina heroine, she negates spells, often by accident. But her family’s old ties to the country of Avalon (frozen, bespelled, and unreachable for almost 12 years) soon finds them guarding its last prince from those who would use his kingdom’s magic for insidious ends.
And with the rise of dangerous spelltech in the Royal States of America; the appearance of the firebird, Avalon’s deadliest weapon, at her doorstep; and the re-emergence of the Snow Queen, powerful but long thought dead, who wants nothing more than to take the firebird’s magic for her own – Tala’s life is about to get even more complicated….

Every book that Rin Chupeco has written is on my TBR list, but I have yet to read any of those books. This book sounds diverse, full of royalty, magic and even has a firebird. It doesn’t come out for another 6 months, but I already have an eARC and I’m looking forward to being able to read it early.

I didn’t even realize until after writing this post that all three of these novels are fantasies about royalty. Obviously I have a “type” and all of these books fit into it!

Let’s Chat!

Are you looking forward to any of these titles? What upcoming books are high on your wish list? Are there any upcoming sequels you are dying to get your hands on? Have you heard of these titles? 1. Woah these books all sound so good! I haven’t heard of them before and I agree that they may fall under the radar. It’s a shame and I hope they don’t! I LOVED the sound of The Shadows Between Us. Enemies to lovers and royal deception with a dash of fantasy added in is my cup of tea! I can’t wait to read your thoughts on it and give it a try for myself! 😀 great post!
