Can't Wait Wednesday

Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings based on the meme Waiting on Wednesday by Breaking the Spine. In this weekly post people share a book that they’re excited about being released.

I have always loved reading these posts, looking forward at books that people can’t wait for. But I always find that I want a list and it is just one book. So I decided I would share three upcoming books that I can’t wait for. If you click on the title of the book it will take you to the book’s Goodreads page.

This week I am focusing on sequels again! There are so many sequels that I’m super excited for this year and I’m trying to focus on continuing and finishing more series rather than always starting new series instead!

Unravel the Dusk by Elizabeth Lim

Spin the Dawn was a huge hit last summer, I’m pretty sure most of my friends read it! While I wasn’t super excited for it I did enjoy it a lot more than I thought that I would! I am interested to see where this series goes and what happens next. I do remember that I loved the writing in the first book and this installment sounds much more up my alley than the first one did!

The Burning Kingdoms by Sally Green

So this is a series that I’m actually late picking up. I just read The Smoke Thieves and The Demon World about a month ago, so I was thrilled to find out that I wasn’t going to have to wait too much longer for the third installment! I love the multiple POVs and plot lines that Sally Green wove throughout the first two books and I’m super excited for this book, but I am not sure I’m quite ready for the series to end. This series is super underappreciated so if you enjoy multiple points of view and plot lines along with characters full of personality I highly recommend this series!

Court of Lions by Somaiya Daud

I’m really excited for this sequel! I absolutely loved the characters in Mirage and since I first read this I’ve read a lot more fantasies inspired by other cultures, so I’m excited to go back to one of the series that helped me venture out with my reading! It has been about two years since I read the first book, so I might need a little bit of a refresher, but I do remember that the first book really got my heart.
