Recently I’ve gotten a lot of indie author review requests, and I was thinking of ways that I could help indie authors out. I used to read a ton of indie books and I love discovering hidden gems and helping promote them and review them. While I am planning on reading and reviewing more indie books, I also thought that it would be great if I could share some of these books with you guys and help my followers find some hidden gems as well! While I don’t have time for every request I know that a bunch of the titles are books that my followers would be interested in! I have already talked to a few authors who reached out to me for review requests and nearly every single one of them was interested.
The indie author series will have:
- Book Reviews
- Author Interviews
- Author Guest Posts
- Promotional Posts
- Excerpts from the Books
- Giveaways!
- Bookstagram Features
Why do an indie author series?
Indie authors write some really great books, but don’t have the luxury of a big publisher behind them. They rely on bloggers and reviews to get the word out about their books. There is also something so special about finding a hidden gem, building a personal relationship with an author and helping promote an underrated story. Helping authors get their books into the hands of readers is incredibly rewarding.
The Books!
When deciding what books to include in this series I decided that I wanted to promote books that looked interesting to me. Most of these books are fantasy books that I either plan on reading, or would read if I had more time. There are a lot of really interesting books that I’ve already got on my list for this series. Luckily there is no shortage of indie authors out there, so there are many more to come, but as of right now these are the indie books that will be a part of this series!
Once the series starts this page will have links to all of the posts included in the series so they can all be easily found in one place.

I never thought I’d be singing happy birthday to myself in a dungeon. And yet when a sinfully sexy demon crashes happy hour, that’s exactly what happens. He’s known as the Lord of Chaos, he’s mistaken me for my succubus doppelgänger.
Happy birthday to me.
When he tastes my blood, he finally understands I’m mortal. And I realize we have something in common: we both crave revenge. So we make a deal: I can stay in the forbidden city to hunt for my mom’s killer. In return, I’ll help him get the vengeance he craves. I just have to pose as a sexy succubus. One problem–he’s my number one suspect.
And that’s increasingly hard to remember as he teaches me my role: seduction. With each heated touch I drift further into peril. And if I fall under his seductive spell, death awaits me.

Queen Lucy by Rhiannon Lee
As I passed by the small kitchen table that had come with the place, I noticed him sitting right in the center, blinking his yellow eyes at me.
Hell is just a place on earth, right?
For Lucy, this couldn’t be any closer to the truth. Stuck working in another dead-end job in another unremarkable city, Lucy’s adapted to life on the run by arming herself with a smokescreen of snarky humor. Sometimes though, her filter-less sasses land her in hot water, especially when it comes to triggering her unruly magic. But, still haunted by the memory of her parents’ deaths, she does her best to scrape by under the radar. Little does she know, however, mysterious forces at work have other plans for her.
I knew I hadn’t left anything on it since what little mail I got, which was mostly bills and junk, littered the top my coffee table.
After a trip to the pound, where a small, scrappy black cat befriends her, a rapid series of events thrusts Lucy—literally—into the complicated world of Hell. Caught up in the politics for the scramble to secure Lucifer’s throne, Lucy’s birthright is challenged when a nefarious plot arises, threatening the stability of not only Hell, but the relationships she’s worked to build after years of mistrust.
I cautiously closed the distance to the table, while he flung himself back into the floor.
Lucy will need to learn to rely on others and use the help offered to her by an alluring demon and a ragtag team of misfits in order to save Hell before it’s ripped apart by all manners of depraved, ruthless enemies.
Expertly hand penned across the front in fancy calligraphy was my name. My entire name.

The Younglings by Helena M Craggs
Humans have no idea what lurks in the shadows.
Mortals don’t expect to see supernaturals. Their minds rarely consider the possibility, even when it’s staring them right in the face. I was one such person … until I met my estranged father.
Let me introduce myself. The name is Carter. Quinn Carter. A witty, laid-back, regular guy, who just happens to be half-demon.
Finding out Dad is a demon king was like a sucker punch to the gut. Seriously, I’m a total biological freak. Meeting him was the catalyst for my life tail-spinning into a new world—a world where things of legend are real.
The one positive about this whole situation is the friends I have made. Good friends. But they too have secrets … big secrets. They’re not exactly your average individuals. Turns out demons aren’t the only paranormal creatures out there.
I also need to mention a Vampire Ministry, evil stab-worthy demons, and troubled spirits stranded on the spectral plane. As a consequence, life for my friends and me became a tad problematic.
Being heroes in the mortal realm hadn’t been on anybody’s to-do list, but we had no choice in the matter, and things were about to get very interesting.

Fail the tests and become a slave. Display defectiveness and be put to death.
Monroe Academy was built to separate the weak from the strong. Pass the biyearly leveling and be released into society upon graduation. Fail to be promoted and be stripped of rank and forced into servitude. That was a rule that applied to all but Rayah Bardeau. A student of Monroe Academy, branded as a Null because of her absence of Lighter energy.
With her mother standing as a slave in her place, Rayah was given until the age of twenty to make level six, but at nineteen-years-old and with only eight months until her twentieth birthday, she was only a mere level one. The same level she’s been since she was ten. With the stress of her upcoming test, the loss of a friend, and the constant wrongdoings towards her, Rayah could only dream of escaping from Lytonia, and escape she did. Only, when she awakened in her dorm, she couldn’t distinguish if she had only dreamt of meeting Soren, a wild and adventurous defect in the Wild Lands, or if she had somehow used her Lighter Form to get there.
But only the elite ― the most powerful of Lighters ― could tap into their Lighter Forms. Right? And what was the dark energy she used when she and Soren were attacked by Depleters? Was Rayah really as powerless as she thought? Was she a defect? And if she used dark energy, could she call herself a Lighter at all?
Bestselling author Destiny Hawkins brings you the first installment of a gripping dark fantasy where a powerless girl must survive in a society that doesn’t accept the weak…or the defective.

This is an altogether different world, and they’re about to show her how out of her depth she is, especially the so-called “Archangel” Zed who runs roughshod over the entire school and has it out for her from day one.
But with a little help from friends in equally low places, Blair Kaine is about to turn their whole world upside down.
This is Jupiter Gate Academy, and class is now in session.
