This bookish post was started by Kathryn at The Book Date, check her out! Basically this post is just my way of sharing what I’m currently reading and a place for you to share what you’re reading. I’m constantly looking for ways to grow my TBR, but my most favorite way is through book recommendations from other bloggers. Please make sure to comment below with what you’ve read this past week!
Just Read:
The Rule of One is one I actually finished last week, but my review didn’t go up until Tuesday, so I included it in this weeks post.
The Darkest Star made my Most Anticipated Fall Releases list and it was an amazing read. It had a very different love interest than I was used to and I found it refreshing and a great YA romance title.
Deadly Sweet is a book that I read because I requested it’s sequel on Netgalley. I didn’t realize that I requested the second in the series, but I am really glad that I got to discover this series because I found it so amazing. Look out for the review, it will be up soon!
Currently Reading:
Sugar Spells is the second book in The Spellwork Syndicate series. I love this series and am so happy that I discovered it. I picked this one up from Netgalley after seeing it on a friend’s blog post.
Cycles of Time- Revenge is Mine this is an author request that I have found myself liking way better than I thought I would. This book has an amazing plot, but I’m finding that I like one of the timelines way better than the other.
A Discovery Of Witches is a book that I am reading along with these titles. I saw it on almost everyone’s list of Top 5 Witchy Titles, so I had to read it. It’s super long so I decided I wanted to read some shorter books at the same time.
What am I Reading Next?
Straight Outta Fangton this is an author request that I was super excited to get a copy of. I loved Straight Outta Compton and I always appreciate mock movies like Shaun of the Dead, so a mock book in my favorite genre mocking one of my favorite films? No shocker why this wound up on my TBR.
Awakening is another author request. I’m actually pretty excited for this one too.
Consumed I’m actually not that excited for this one, but I do have a review copy of it and there is a buddy read for it this week, so I might pick it up.
Any Second This book I got through books for trade on Twitter. It sounds intense and pretty fast paced, so I’m excited to read this one. I am buddy reading it with some friends on Goodreads.
Outrun The Wind also made my list of Most Anticipated Fall Releases. I love Greek Mythology, so this should be awesome. I am also buddy reading it with friends of mine on Goodreads.
Let’s Chat!
Have you read any of these novels? What have you read this week? What do you suggest that I should read? Have you reviewed any of these titles? Please leave links or comment below so I can add more titles to my TBR!
The Darkest Star and Discovery of witches are on my TBR! I’m currently reading Assassins Blade by Sarah J Maas

Ah, another SJM fan! I read ACOTAR and hated it so idk if I’m joining that bandwagon anytime soon!

To me the ACOTAR series is hugely overrated and I hated it by the 3rd book and DNF it. The ToG series is much more enjoyable but has similar aspects to ACOTAR since it’s also about fae & magic lands etc.. but if you didn’t enjoy ACOTAR at all I wouldn’t really recommend the ToG series either 🙈

Yeah, I just don’t like her style honestly. Or the romances.

I read Discovery of Witches a few years ago. I was sent a review copy by LoveReading and the publisher. At the time I thought it was an ok read but think if I re-read it I would enjoy it more. I’m enjoying watching the tv series. 🙂

Sorry. I thought i had replied to your message. Apparently it’s a British TV series… I actually thought it was an American series when I first started watching it. 🙂

I haven’t read any of these but I do own A Discovery of Witches so I may get to it eventually! Right now I’m reading The Ninth Rain and I’m liking it so far but it’s a little confusing.
