Weekly Book Haul -2/8/19

I have never tracked how many books I’ve gotten in a week because even I know it’s excessive. But this week when I was going through books I’d received through newsletters and adding them to my Goodreads account I figured keeping track of what I get week by week might hold me more accountable. Before I show you all the books I got this week I do have to say something….

I am a book hoarder.

It’s true. I claim freebies a lot, I get review copies and I get books for signing up for author’s newsletters. I enter in contests and I win, a lot. I have a LOT of books. The amount of free books that I get just through emails or author’s newsletters is insane. But I also get lots of beloved review copies, physical and e books. If I am interested in a book, I pick it up. I do review everything I read.

I love to support indie and self published authors.

  1. I loved of fire and stars! You’re just in time before the sequel! I have a question with all the books you receive to review how do you prioritize and are you ever late with reviews like crazy late maybe a few months after release date? X

    1. Uh yeah of course I am, I am a book hoarder with no self control. I try to get them all done in time, but then some times it feels like a chore to read and I have to pick up a back list title. I review everything I read, and I try to read everything I own, so I’m always behind lol. I am thinking of doing my own “short-a-thon” where I read books under 150 pages and get a lot of my bookfunnel/instafreebie (now prolific works) titles read since a lot of them are novellas.

As for Of Fire and Stars I’m glad to hear you liked it because I have hardly heard ANYTHING about it, but it got thrown in for a trade that I did.

      1. I know what you mean. Sometimes I just go with whatever I need to to get out of a slump though, and in the end it means I read more. I have a few books that I read and still haven’t written reviews for, and still have to write them, but I will eventually.

    1. LOL Thanks. I hope to review them all eventually.

I am planning my own “short-a-thon” where I set aside a period of time where I JUST read books under 200 pages and try and read a lot of my bookfunnel and instafreebie (prolific works) titles, since a lot of them are novellas to introduce you to the author. I meant to join one in December, but it never happened.

    1. Lol I get a lot of emails about freebies and have been stocking up lately. Why not? It’s nice to have a lot to choose from.

Here There Are Monsters looks really interesting! I was really drawn to the cover.
